March madness means more than just basketball - even in North Carolina.
Red Cross "Month Of March" activities begin March 1 when community volunteers gather at the High Point-Thomasville Red Cross Chapter to kick off the Heroes Campaign. These hometown heroes have each pledged to raise $1000 by the end of March. I generously nominated Mike (Mr. Red Cross) to be a hero. My intentions are two-fold, first to honor Mike and second to demonstrate, through his volunteer contributions, how Red Cross services affect the lives of people in our community.

As friends and family you are well aware of Mike's love for volunteering with the American Red Cross. Since 1991 Mike has contributed thousands of hours helping people prepare for, cope with and respond to emergencies. He truly exemplifies the spirit of giving.
